We read a lot of bedtime stories and this one stands out as a favorite. It's funny when all the jungle animals plop into the raft. It's sweet because the main character, Zozo, is so welcoming and gracious. The writing is excellent and the illustrations should win this book lots of awards. We highly, highly recommend this book.

I love how the main character, Zozo, is a sweet soul who becomes part of the places she visits, getting to make memories with the local friends she meets. Often kids travel books read like a list of highlights in a country, instead of telling a story about experiencing the place. This book makes us feel like we are there. The illustrations are absolutely outstanding!
